This is how the clinic list was created

  • Many patients! At the clinics presented above, doctors have great experience with the treatment of multiple sclerosis (ICD G35) because only hospitals that treat multiple sclerosis on an above-average basis have been taken into account. Hospitals are obliged to inform about their medical treatment in quality reports and to provide this information to the Federal Joint Committee.
  • Good Hygiene! All of the clinics listed attach above-average value to patient safety. At least 45 out of 55 measures have been taken in order to assure optimal hygiene before, during and after surgery.
  • Focus Award! Every year, the big German weekly magazine FOCUS published a list of the best clinics for multiple sclerosis in Germany. All the clinics mentioned are listed in the Clinic List 2021 as top clinics for the treatment of multiple sclerosis.
  • Certification! When a clinic receives a certificate, this means that there are doctors working there who specialized in the treatment of multiple sclerosis and that the necessary equipment for the treatment is available. All the hospitals listed above have been certified by the German Multiple Sclerosis Society.

This is just a small selection of German clinics. Of course, many other hospitals also offer a high quality of treatment.
