Which clinics in Germany offer treatment for patients suffering from the chronic fatigue syndrome? Ten hospitals with doctors who have experience with this disease are listed here.

In Germany, approximately 300,000 people suffer from the chronic fatigue syndrome. According to Fukunda et al., it can be defined as a state of exhaustion which lasts longer than six months, doesn’t improve through rest and significantly restricts the quality of life.

Its cause is unknown at this stage. Sometimes, the disease occurs when the immune system is weakened or through contact with certain pathogens. There are eleven symptoms that can point to the chronic fatigue syndrome. If a patient has six of these eleven symptoms, they are suffering from the chronic fatigue syndrome.

Patients suffering from this disease often look for a suitable specialist for a long time. The chronic fatigue syndrome is a recognized disease and has its own disease number (ICD 10 G93.3). However, it is only diagnosed very rarely. In the list, the ten clinics in Germany that treat the chronic fatigue syndrome most frequently in 2019 are presented.
